What it is
Growing Standard is a K-12 supplemental math and reading program for schools and districts. Students earn stars, customize a potato companion, collect gear, and adopt pets — the same reward systems that keep kids coming back to their favorite games. They practice voluntarily while teachers get the data they need to place, group, and intervene.

Standards alignment
Every skill maps to a state standard across 10 frameworks covering all 50 states + DC: Common Core (~41 states), plus state-specific frameworks for VA, TX (TEKS), FL (B.E.S.T.), IN, OK, NE, MN, SC, and AK. Teachers select their state; all codes, reports, and assignments display in the framework they use. Custom crosswalk mapping is included with District licenses.
Grow Assessment
Adaptive assessments in math and reading across 3 windows per year (Fall, Winter, Spring). Testing stops as soon as it has enough info — typically 20 minutes instead of 45. Results include per-skill proficiency, rush detection that flags students who are guessing, and recommended focus areas. Reading assessment maps to F&P A-Z, Lexile, DRA, and Grade Equivalent scales. Built on adaptive testing research (Babcock & Weiss, 2012) and response-time effort research (Wise & Kong, 2005).
